Quotes

Like most moms, I know I will have a FULL book of these types of statements. Zachary is speaking really well lately and it is so funny to follow his thinking. Here are some funny quotes.

Watching a long strand of drool coming out of Allie's mouth, he says, "Mommy, Allie's dripping!"

We were working on counting to 5 with our fingers. When I held up my 3 fingers for the number 3, he said, "Mommy, that's not a 3, that's a W!"

After falling on the pavement, he says, "Mommy, I hurt my butt." So I pat him on the right side & say it'll be ok. He turns to the other side and says, "No, my other butt!"

Sitting at the dinner table, he looks at my face, touches my cheek and says, "Mommy, No beard?"

He spent 10 minutes piling up a stack of blankets and pillows. He sat right in the middle and said, "Mommy, I'm sitting on a bird's nest!"

He was talking to Allie sitting in her bouncy chair and she sneezed right in his face. He blinked his eyes a few times, wiped his face, and said, "Uh oh. I got sprayed!"

During a potty-training moment, I was distracted by Allie for a few seconds. My attention immediately returned to Zachary when I heard, "Mommy, there's chocolate in there!"

At the grocery store, we passed a family with several kids walking together. He said, "Who's that?" I said, "Those are all children." He replies, "Like Jesus loves?"

At dinner one night, Todd ate a lot and I joked that he was like a pig. Zachary says, "Daddy's not a pig!" To which Todd & I laughed, but conceded that he was right. Zachary was silent, in a moment of thoughtful reflection that ended with "Mommy's a cow!"

Zachary walked towards me gently holding a single long strand of my hair. He placed it on my head and said, "Mommy, here you go, you lost a hair."

Thumb-sucking!

Allie has recently started sucking her thumb! She hadn't done this prior to her 4th month. I guess I didn't realize babies may pick up this habit later than just after birth. Anyway, we think it is pretty cute!

A & Z

Here are some sweet pictures of our kids together. Zachary has really taken an interest in playing with Allie, and she adores him. I really enjoy watching them interact, especially when they don't realize I'm right there. And yes, we know, they look A LOT alike!! We are so blessed.

Water "park"

We took the kids to our county little water park. It is for small children, so it has all these fun sprinklers & slides. The water is super shallow everywhere, so that makes it really fun for Zachary. He was a little hesitant at first (as usual), but once he figured things out, he had a great time running through all the fountains. Of course, Allie was just pink from the heat and watching all the action with her pretty eyes.

SO MUCH FUN

Zachary is such a delight. I enjoy him tremendously. He has started this random dancing all the time. This might be my favorite thing he's ever done (so far). He clears the playroom floor (well, just the middle part...that floor is never actually "clear"), and runs to find me to "play the music, mommy!" (turn ITunes music on the computer...which is located 5 feet from the playroom).
He will dance non-stop for 20 minutes. As each song ends, he'll pause and say, "Nother song!" and then a new song will start. I absolutely LOVE watching him dance. He totally gets lost in the music and just enjoys himself. He's always saying, "mommy dance too..." and I'll join in...but then I'll forget to dance because I'm having so much fun watching him! I really can't describe how sweet this is. I LOVE it. Can I pause his growing up? I just want to stop here.

And...he's built a tent in the living room. This is also hilarious.
I LOVE this kid!!
