Little Red Wagon

We got Zachary a red wagon for his 1st birthday (1 more week!). We took him on a walk today and he loves it. It has cup-holders for his juice, a nice seat back for support, storage space and a seatbelt for when he tries to climb out. So fun!

Up we go

Zachary is climbing up the stairs now. He usually does pretty well, as long as he doesn't turn around!

Who's that?

We just put these new photographs of Zachary up on the wall. Every time we walk by them, Zach whispers, "...w'ssat..." (his version of "who's that?") and points at them. He loves looking at pictures of himself and pictures of family. He also loves to point now. Everywhere we go, he's pointing at people. Of course, we think it's really sweet. Hopefully other people don't mind being pointed at by a cute 1-year old!

Peek-a-boo

This is so funny. Zach has started playing Peek-a-boo on his own. He'll hide his face/eyes with a blanket or whatever and wait for you to say "Where's Zachary?" a few times and then he'll pop his head out and smile while you say, "There he is!" But the funny part is that sometimes he'll be playing by himself and we don't realize he's waiting for us to say "Where's Zachary?" and we'll look over at him peeking behind the blankie quietly and patiently waiting for us to catch on. SUPER cute!

It's Official!!

Zachary is walking now! He's been taking a few steps here and there for a few weeks...But as of today, he can walk across a room without any tumbling. WOW!

Zach's teeth are popping out all over. He looks so grown up! It's official - the countdown to his 1st birthday has begun...less than a month to go!

Zachary eats 'bsketti'

Zachary had his first "Table" dinner - spaghetti (tube-noodles & tomato meat sauce). He LOVED it and ate quite a bit (as usual)!

Warning: No Puppets

Ok, so we learned yesterday that Zachary does not like puppets. We have this cute little dog puppet and we were showing it to Zach and making it talk in a funny voice, and nibble on his fingers. Zach freaked out. He jumped away, grabbed onto my neck and cried for dear life while swatting the puppet away. Later, we thought we would introduce the puppet again to teach him that it's ok. Not so much. He freaked out again. Sadly, we put the puppet back in the box - for an early retirement. Note to all - no puppets for Zachary. Too traumatic.
