12:00 pm April 4 - Doctor admits me to "get the blood pressure down & send me home"
2:00 pm April 4 - Blood pressure has not gone down, doctor decides to induce labor

2:30 pm April 4 - Doctor started a pitocin drip to begin my labor. No turning back.
3:00 pm April 4 - Todd called back and I gave him the news that the baby is on the way. He did not believe me and then cussed when he realized I was not kidding.
3:00 pm April 4 - Mom called all the immediate family and initiated a chaotic rush for everyone to get to Atlanta.
6:00 pm April 4 - Doctor gives me cervadil to prepare the cervix for labor.
7:50 pm April 4 - Todd lands at Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta
8:05 pm April 4 - In world record time, Todd is at the curb with his bags from baggage claim.
9:00 pm April 4 - Todd arrives at Northside hospital with flowers!
6:30 am April 5 - My water broke. Interesting feeling - I thought I peed my pants.

9:00 am April 5 - Contractions begin. Ugh!
11:30 am April 5 - Epidural time (THANK GOD!)

2:00 pm April 5 - I started pushing.
2:01 pm April 5 - My dad freaks out and thinks something's wrong.
2:04 pm April 5 - My mom had to go calm him down for the third time.
3:00 pm April 5 - Doctor arrives and helps speed up the pushing by suggesting I utilize a mirror so I can see the angle at which the baby is coming out. VERY helpful. Progress sped up.
3:15 pm April 5 - My dad is given a third valium and has paced the walkway 118 times in 12 minutes.
3:52 pm April 5 - Baby's head pops out and the doctor tells me to stop pushing. WHAT?!
3:54 pm April 5 - The final push is accompanied by a YELL from my exhausted body. So much for a peaceful labor...ha!
4:00 pm April 5 - The chaos begins and people are coming & going and it was just crazy!
